Born in London (1992), Nina Baxter earned a BA in Art History from the prestigious Courtauld Institute of Art in 2013 and continues to live and work in the city. Her paintings have gained international acclaim, held in private collections across the UK, USA, Europe, and China.
From 2012 to 2019, Nina established herself as a talented abstract painter, with her geometric compositions and vivid landscapes earning recognition through exhibitions and prizes such as the Royal Arts Prize and Sunny Arts Prize. Exhibiting widely, including at The Affordable Art Fair in London and Red Dot Miami, her work captured the imagination of collectors and critics alike.
In 2020, Nina embraced a new chapter in her practice, transitioning to oil paints and shifting her focus to figurative subjects. Her current work delves into portraiture, still life, and intimate figurative compositions, celebrating moments of quiet euphoria, self-reflection, and connection. Each painting is a meditation on the nuances of everyday life, with evocative titles that invite viewers to step into the narrative and find personal meaning.
